Operation Mars is the latest of the maps made by Ts4EVER. Despite horrendous casualties it would later be overshadowed by the concurrent Operation Uranus, which lead to the victory at Stalingrad. Now, on the 25th of November, they launch another attack in cold and snowy conditions.

Throughout 1942 and early 1943, the Red Army attempted to remove this threat in a series of costly offensives, earning this battlefield the nickname 'Rzhev meatgrinder'. The map of course was Operation Mars, the large Soviet assault on the Rzhev salient who's failure led to it falling into the shadow of the simultaneous success at Stalingrad.Ī remnant of the failed German bid to capture Moscow, the Rzhev salient was pointed at the Russian capital like a dagger.

All the way back in July 2019 Ts4EVER posted part one of a series of videos that step by step showed off his thoughts and methods of how to make a map for FH2. Today we are showing off a map that shouldn't come as a surprise to many of you. Our Panzer 38(t) is an Ausführung B, and was made by Kraetzer. The chassis would continue in production as the basis for a number of self propelled guns, including the Marder III and Jagdpanzer 38 tank destroyers. In total, 1414 Panzer 38(t) were built under German occupation. They would see more large scale use in Operation Barbarossa, but the design was nearing the end of its life and was out of production by the middle of 1942. The 38(t)s performed well in Poland and France, proving themselves to be extremely reliable and easy to maintain. With slight modifications to the cupola and turret, this light tank easily outclassed the Panzer I and II, and was treated as a substitute for the Panzer III medium tank. Recognising the strength of the design, and having a factory tooled up to produce it already, the Germans put the tank back into production, now known as the Panzer 38(t). In 1939 when Germany annexed the country and occupied the factory, the Lithuanian order had yet to be delivered and the first Czechoslovak tanks were only just finished. Marketed abroad, this new TNH would be bought by Iran, Peru, Switzerland, Lithuania, and finally Czechoslovakia themselves. Work began on a mechanically simple design, with riveted armour and large roadwheels on leaf springs. The tank had a number of problems and work was started on a new design with the intention to offer it to the army and sell it commercially.

In 1935, Czechoslovak manufacturer CKD was manufacturing the LT-35 light tank in partnership with Škoda. Today we are showing off a render of one of the more common foreign vehicles that found their way into German hands, known to them as the Panzer 38(t).

Stonne was started by sn00x and has been finished by CptBocquier, with help from Stubbfan. In the following days, the small village switched sides 17 times, earning the nickname 'Verdun of 1940'. However, they did not expect to encounter the French 3rd Armored Division and 3rd Mechanized Infantry Division that arrived late the previous evening, too late to counterattack. On May 15th, early in the morning, the Infanterie Regiment Großdeutschland and the 10th Panzer Division were tasked to take the heights at the small village of Stonne, in order to protect the southern flank of the main German thrust westwards. It is of course Stonne, perhaps the most famous of the battles in the immediate aftermath of the German breakthrough at Sedan.Īfter the breakthrough at Sedan, German troops began to consolidate their bridgehead against a possible French counterattack.
